Only moments ago, I received an intimidating email from the owners of the Canadian Language School. Their unprofessional behaviour continues to amaze me.... A word of warning to would be English teachers in Slovakia; DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

Oh no! Do they actually have the power to do anything to you? I hope not, since you wisely didn't sign the contract, and I hope at worst you'll have to take a quick trip to Vienna (or somewhere else outside of the country) to get your visa changed over to the new employers. I still can't believe you're having problems with them since you've worked for them before and were recommending them.
Ouch. Please keep us informed.
By the way, are they having any problems with the Corner Gas dvds being encoded for the wrong region?

Oh Brendan, what an ordeal! Screw the bastards - I'm hoping that it all works out for you.
It occurs to me that if they're screwing over the teachers like you, then the poor students who pay them money, must really be getting a snow job. Ugh.
I'm sorry we weren't in Chicago when you passed through, though I don't know if you'd have had time for a quick visit.
